Guide of Inner Resonance

My Journey: A Life in Synchronicity

As a child, I would gaze at the stars, sensing an unseen rhythm beyond them. The universe never felt like empty space—it whispered, pulsed, and sometimes revealed visions of the future. Time didn’t seem linear but more like patterns waiting to be noticed.

My life has been shaped by profound moments where my inner world and external reality shifted in harmony. Three major heart surgeries weren’t just physical events; each felt like a rebirth. With every surgery, an old version of myself fell away, revealing something deeper. Later, my experience with psychological therapy transformed my inner landscape, and as if in response, my outer reality shifted overnight.

Drawn to unseen currents, I naturally gravitated toward shamanism and process-oriented psychology. Arnold Mindell’s teachings resonated deeply, echoing what I had already intuitively known. Carlos Castaneda’s explorations felt familiar, as if they reflected my own experiences. This path led me to South Dakota, where I took part in the ceremonies of the Lakota (Sioux) people. It wasn’t about learning something new—it felt like remembering something ancient within me.

I have always followed the flow of energy, sensing changes before they take shape. From the technological revolution of Silicon Valley in the ’80s to the vast wave of the internet, and from the digital world to Zen and the philosophy of non-duality—my journey hasn’t been about choosing a direction but about moving with the currents of transformation.

All these experiences came together when I discovered Theory U by Otto Scharmer at MIT. His framework did not simply introduce new ideas—it gave structure to everything I had lived and sensed. The concept that “the future is not an extension of the past, but something that emerges when we connect deeply with the present” was not just a theory to me—it was the very essence of my own journey.

For me, a shaman is not a teacher or a healer in the traditional sense. A shaman is someone who helps others remember what is truly important—their deeper purpose, their forgotten dreams, and the synchronicities that have always been guiding them. When we become aware of these connections, the path ahead naturally reveals itself.

Now, I have created a space on Osaki-Kamijima for exactly that—to pause, listen, and reconnect with the deeper currents of life.

Because if you truly listen, life is always speaking to you.

He was born in 1967 in Wakayama Prefecture, Japan, and developed a strong interest in programming from an early age. At university, he majored in applied physics and, after graduation, joined a major Japanese investment bank. There, he built a career as a technologist, contributing to the development of computer trading systems that supported financial engineering.

In 1997, he relocated to Wall Street in New York and began his journey as an entrepreneur in 2000. Despite facing bankruptcy in 2006, he established a new company in 2009. His iPhone app achieved global success, with hundreds of thousands of downloads worldwide, and in 2011, his company was named one of Asia’s Top 100 Startups by Red Herring, marking a significant achievement.

Having faced personal and professional setbacks, he turned to Zen meditation and mindfulness practices, which helped him cultivate inner clarity. This journey led him to discover a new life purpose: contributing to education. To realize this vision, he co-hosted TEDxHimi in Toyama Prefecture, Japan, in 2016 and 2017. As Chief Curator, he supported speakers and helped foster inner reflection through the event’s theme, “Inner Space.” This experience became a turning point, inspiring him to focus on creating educational opportunities through video.

Subsequently, he collaborated with initiatives like Tobitate! Study Abroad JAPAN and Japan’s largest recruitment company to produce impactful talk events. In the 2020s, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, he contributed to the development of digital tools utilizing AI and cloud technologies at one of the world’s Big Four accounting firms and also worked on environmental initiatives.

Throughout his career, he has been at the forefront of transformative eras, including programming, financial engineering, mobile apps, AI, and environmental sustainability. He has consistently experienced and driven the emergence of new technologies and values, fueled by a deep commitment to innovation. As the saying goes, “The future is not something to predict but something to create,” and he has continually stood on the front lines of shaping that future.
