The easiest way to reach the island is via Hiroshima Airport.

It takes about 30 minutes by car from the airport to the port,

followed by a 30-minute ferry ride across calm waters.

It may feel closer than you expect.

From JR Hiroshima Station,

you can also take a highway bus to the port,

which takes about 80 minutes.
