3-day Autumn Retreat

Join us for a transformative three-day retreat on Osaki-Kamijima, a picturesque island in Japan’s Setouchi Sea. Known for its breathtaking views, the island offers an idyllic backdrop for reflection and renewal.

The retreat will take place at Era-tei, a beautifully preserved wooden structure with over 150 years of history, nestled in the heart of Heike’s hidden village. The serene and tranquil environment of Era-tei, combined with the island’s unique energy, enhances the retreat’s restorative effects.

Additional sessions may take place at the beach or other scenic locations around the island.

This experience is thoughtfully designed for individuals seeking peace, clarity, and creative inspiration while navigating significant life transitions.

Although this event is held in Japan, we are pleased to accommodate those who speak and understand only English.

Pick-up: 11:30 AM on Monday, October 6th, at Hiroshima Airport (HIJ)

Drop-off: 3:30 PMon Wednesday, October 8th, at Hiroshima Airport (HIJ)

Please note that pick-up and drop-off times may be subject to adjustment to better accommodate participants’ needs and preferences.

Price: ￥121,000 - tax included

This retreat offers a gentle balance of individual reflection and shared group experiences. The fee includes the full program, 2 nights of lodging in our shared traditional home, sleeping on futons in traditional Japanese style, all meals prepared together using seasonal ingredients, and public bath access each night.

We see shared meals and bathing not just as necessities, but as essential parts of the healing process—simple, grounding rituals that help you reconnect with yourself and others.

Not included:

Optional Program Extension:

For those who feel called to stay with the process a little longer, we offer an optional extension of the retreat experience:

• +1 day: ￥22,000 (includes meals and bath)

• +2 days: ￥41,800 (includes meals and bath)

This is not just extra time—it’s an opportunity to deepen the inner work that began during the retreat, in a slower, more open rhythm.

Hotel Stay Option:

For those who prefer additional comfort and privacy, we offer an optional stay at Hotel Seifu-kan (at an additional cost). This option may be ideal if you enjoy:

• Exquisite multi-course kaiseki meals

• A private room with either a Western-style bed or traditional futon

• Access to a hot spring bath late at night or early in the morning

Cancellation Fee

A cancellation by the customer will result in a refund after deducting the cancellation fee listed below.

• Two weeks prior to the event: No cancellation fee

• 13 days prior to the event to the day before the event: 50%

• On the day of the event or no show: 100%

A refund service fee may also be deducted.

Inclement Weather Policy

In the event of inclement weather, the event may be canceled or modified. If a cancellation occurs, we will notify you at least one day in advance. Should the event be canceled, the program fee will be fully refunded.

The personal information you provide during the application process (including your name, address, date of birth, telephone number, and email address) will be used exclusively for the purposes of communication and to arrange services provided by transportation and accommodation agencies associated with your retreat. This information may also be utilized as necessary to facilitate these services and to execute the required procedures for their delivery.
